Photo Taking Days

Shot:
This was one of those days that was meant for photo taking. The day started of slow but ended up being one of the best days of summer. Weather was great, sky was full of clouds and locations were on point.

Serenity On The Side of The Road

Shot:
I went up north in NY about an hour from where I live to visit a friend and get out of city photography for the new. He took me all over to a bunch of different spots to shoot and this one in particular stuck out to me. We were driving down this road and just pulled over, took a short walk over a foot bridge and down a short path to find this amazing view. It just goes to show what kind of beauty is just hiding in plain site sometime.

Posing Trees

Shot:
Growing up I spend a majority of my summer down along the Jersey Shore coast visiting all the different beaches that it was to offer. Naturally I got older my parents started to look there to settle along the Shrewsbury River. There is a spot I love to frequent for sunsets while I am down there with these two trees just standing above the rest of nature.

Sunset or Not

Shot:
After a day an early morning shooting the not so sunrise at the Croton Dam, I was shown a few locations for some future shots. This bird was just hanging out on of the of piling making for a nice quick and easy shot. It was a hazy morning and the photo wasn’t fantastic in color or clarity so I decided to mess around and make it look like a post sunset shot.

Technique:
The one setting that makes this photo what it is is the Split Toning feature which add a nice color overlay to the photo giving it the warmth of a sunset. For this shot I used one of my available presets Well Relaxed Weekend.
