Bethesda Terrace

Shot:
The Bethesda Terrace is one place I have wanted to shoot for a while. I was there once a long time ago when I got my first camera for a class my cousin signed us up for. We met a lady there to do some basic composition instruction and critique. It wasn’t until years later I saw a photo there taken my friend Abe (http://therestarehere.tumblr.com) that inspired me to go back and shoot again. There is a little bit of lighting that comes on at night that you can really bring out with a longer exposure. TO be honest I liked the photo in color but not as much as the black and white version.

Early Morning Rise

Shot:
I do a lot of my shooting with my friend Mike around Jersey City, New York City and Brooklyn. Mike lives about an hour north of me and always has some amazing nature photos that make me miss my origins as a photography enthusiast. I decided to get up, get ready and leave my house at 4:30 AM and head to meet him for a sunrise. I met up with him at around 5:45 AM and he took me to an awesome spot to shoot the sunrise. When we got there and get all set we soon realized that there wasn’t going to be much of a sunrise, due to the lack of clouds in the sky. There was some color in the sky and aside from us a group of fisherman starting off the morning just as early. I didn’t get the amazing sunrise I was hoping for but I did some good color and a nice silhouette scene.

Most Amazing Sunset

Shot:
I shot this photo a while ago while walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. There hasn’t been many great sunsets lately so I decided to pull that one out of the archives to bring a little more color to my day.
